Shrek Forever After Trailer!!

We are so excited that the Shrek Forever After trailer is now online! Ben, Jacob, and myself have all been working really hard on this film and are all very proud of it. So take a look and let us know what you think! How cool is that!

This trailer confuses me, actually. What’s going on? Everyone is after Fiona… Donkey doesn’t remember Shrek, but puss in boots remembers Shrek…. I’m all sorts of confused. No matter what I’ll go see it, though! haha

I would have to agree with you. if I knew nothing of the movie this would be confusing. To be perfectly honest, I’m not the greatest fan of this trailer. The film is amazing and the trailer doesn’t do it justice!

In order to shed a bit of light on what’s going on here, let me quote the official press release. It might help:

“After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws’ kingdom, what’s an ogre to do? Well, if you’re Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. What’s happened to this ogre’s roar? Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.”

Rumpelstiltskin is not revealed in the trailer (which I do like!), but yes, that makes it confusing.
