Despicable Me Opens This Weekend!

I went into it with a mix of excitement and hesitance; excitement at the fun-looking animation and designs from the trailers, hesitance from hearing about the adopted orphans aspect. I have to say I was in no way disappointed. I saw it two nights in a row and loved it each time. The film doesn’t present itself as trying to be anything serious and it revels in it’s cartoonyness. With solid designs, cartoony humor, and fantastic French animation, it’s a real treat to watch.

I think another place to really pay attention to is Mac Guff or in general more studios from France getting a chance to shine.
