‘Plastic Animation Paper’ is now FREE!
The 2D-animation software Plastic Animation Paper is now available online for FREE from the developers. They are no longer offering support, and it appears to be Windows only, but if that works for you then there are plenty of tutorial videos on the site to get you started.
Go experiment with it.

Cool stuff. I’ve been looking for a quick solution for “digital pencil tests” and the little I’ve been playing with this it seems to be pretty straight ahead and easy enough to use. Thanks for the link! Free AND legal is always an excellent combination.
