Hey Jorge,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
But if you're going to be angry I at least want you to be well-informed. Just so you that you know - Chris Sanders and Dean Deblois were not a part of this project.
Our fearless leader is the very talented Peter Ramsey and he's doing an amazing job.
Thanks!
Jacob

P.S. I applaud you for your fearlessness. Most people wouldn't have the guts to say they think "even animationwise its poor" to the people who animated it.

Man Jorge,

You've come to some rough conclusions in two minutes and thirty seconds. I respect your opinion but if I may offer something of a small rebuttal, I've heard the lament against the "it is out job to protect the children of the world" sentiment elsewhere and I still don't get why there is issue with this in telling a story. The context of the other argument was something to the effect of "isn't that my job as their parent" or something silly like that but I wonder if you and this other person may be missing that Dreamworks, at least by my interpretation of the trailer, has not set up a scenario where the easter bunny is keeping little Johnny from running into traffic but rather that this collection of Guardians exists to protect imagination in children, the spark, the wonder that is so integral in making a kid a kid, the imagination that I would see as the whole basis of the Guardians existence to begin with.

In my humble opinion it seems to me that this lack of appreciation of what is being marketed here by some seems to indicate a loss of that imagination I believe these Guardians will be fighting for. Its a story, it is a collection of artists working to bring a vision to the screen, arguably not for either you or myself but for kids who can embrace and cheer for something as shallow as a battle for the sanctity of their imagination.

I doubt if any studio could please everyone with their artistic direction on each project but I like the look of Santa and I think we are in for some game changing animation in this film. I don't discount your opinion and maybe I'm taking it too much to heart, as a fan of the medium I don't want any studio to stumble in the eyes of the public, but sometimes you get an amazing film and sometimes you get an entertaining hour or so having to think of nothing. Which one this will be I have an opinion but since it is based on two minutes and thirty seconds I'll just say I'm looking forward to seeing more and hoping you'll see something in it to change your mind.

Best,
J.

I´m very disappointed by the Sanders Dubois team. Even though Dreamworks isn´t steady as Pixar delivering amazing films, you´d think their standards were higher.
"it is our job to protect the children of the world" how hollow can you be?!
This trailer is boring, predictable, and even animationwise is poor!! Santa´s rig has too wide shoulders and the acting choice at 1:00 is awfull.
Don´t get me wrong, I love Dreamworks, but after KFPanda, HTTYour Dragon and Megamind, I was so excited what would come next and it seems nothing but a cold water bucket over my head!
