Waking Sleeping Beauty on DVD

The documentary sharing the behind-the-scenes stories of the Disney Renaissance was released on DVD yesterday.  Just prior to Waking Sleeping Beauty‘s theatrical release we sat down with the documentary’s directors/producers Don Hahn and Peter Schneider for a podcast.  It’s great supplemental material to the documentary.

So if you haven’t seen the film head on over to amazon and pick up a copy, then have another listen to the podcast.

To refresh your memory and inspire you to pick up the DVD here is the trailer:

The DVD has plenty of additional material including several deleted scenes with Howard Ashman that should be really cool.  There’s also plenty of previously unreleased personal video footage from animator Randy Cartwright documenting the studio during the Renaissance, and additional interview footage from Jeffery Katzenberg and Roy Disney, among others.
